Finding the right local builder is crucial for your Sunshine Coast dream home. But beyond exceptional quality and beautiful designs, wouldn’t it be great to choose a company that actively gives back to the community? At AUSMAR, the Sunshine Coast’s largest local builder, community isn’t just a word, it’s at the core of everything we do.

Building a Healthy Community Through Charity

For over a decade, AUSMAR has partnered with the Wishlist Foundation, a Sunshine Coast not-for-profit dedicated to enhancing public health services. Our commitment goes beyond financial contributions.

  • Wishlist Giving Days: AUSMAR’s team consistently surpasses fundraising goals, raising significant funds for vital medical equipment, patient support, and innovative research.
  • Wishlist Christmas Gift Wrapping: Our team spreads holiday cheer while volunteering at the Wishlist Christmas Gift Wrapping Station, raising crucial funds for ophthalmology equipment.

Building Homes, Building Hope: The “House the Coast Built” Projects

AUSMAR has proudly served as the exclusive building partner for Wishlist’s “House the Coast Built” initiative, a series of remarkable projects:

  • House 1 (2011): Raised $267,232 for vital ophthalmology equipment at Caloundra Hospital.
  • House 2 (2016): Contributed $262,692, supporting initiatives like the Clown Doctor Service and vital medical equipment.
  • House 3 (2020): This six-bedroom haven near Sunshine Coast University Hospital provides emergency accommodation for families.
  • House 4 (2024): The sale of a four-bedroom home in Gympie will benefit patients and families by funding transport to specialists and providing supported accommodation.

Building Support Beyond Bricks and Mortar: The Wishlist Centre and Reed House

We extend our support to other Wishlist initiatives:

  • Wishlist Centre Room Sponsor: AUSMAR invested $25,000 in a room at the Wishlist Centre, offering comprehensive support for patients and families.
  • Wishlist Reed House: Donated a day-off for staff to volunteer for maintenance, ensuring this vital accommodation remains in top condition. AUSMAR Director Tony Bryan also provides ongoing yearly maintenance and spearheaded annual maintenance reporting, ensuring a haven for patients and families.

Building a Stronger Local Economy: The “Buy Local First” Policy

At AUSMAR, we believe in building a strong Sunshine Coast not just through construction, but by supporting local businesses. Our “Buy Local First” policy ensures we partner with local suppliers, and local trade professionals. This creates a ripple effect, strengthening the local economy and fostering strong relationships. Over 60% of the construction products we use are Australian-made, and we prioritise reliable local suppliers for all projects.

Building a Team that Builds Dreams

Our success hinges on our dedicated team. We invest heavily in their training and development, promoting a culture of continuous learning and leadership growth. This allows individuals like Richard Paris and Josh Green to progress from employees to Director positions. This translates into a benefit for clients as well, with dedicated teams guiding you through the entire build journey.

Building a Legacy: The Largest Local Builder, Built for the Sunshine Coast

As a privately owned builder led by three long-time Sunshine Coast residents, we understand the needs and spirit of our community. Unlike franchised builders, every decision is rooted here, in Maroochydore. Our average contract value of $390,000 reflects not just our success, but the trust our community places in us. We deliver homes that capture the Sunshine Coast’s charm while embracing modern living, exceeding expectations year after year. Our Directors are actively involved, ensuring every decision is made collaboratively.

Long-Term Partnerships: Building Together

AUSMAR’s success is built not just on our team’s expertise, but also on the strong relationships we’ve cultivated with local suppliers and tradespeople. Several of our valued partners have been with us for over 20 years, fostering a deep understanding of our quality standards and commitment to exceptional service. This long-term collaboration ensures a seamless building experience for our clients.

  • Suncoast Building Approvals: For thousands of homes, they’ve expertly handled our building approvals, a testament to their efficiency and local knowledge.
  • Darren Boyle Drott Hire: Three generations strong, the Boyle family has been our go-to for site cuts and house pad preparation. Darren’s son, Jed, is now learning the ropes, ensuring this tradition of quality service continues.
  • Dowell Windows: Their unwavering commitment to quality has made them our window supplier for many years.
  • Andersens Noosa: While ownership has recently changed hands, the exceptional service and expertise in carpets and floor coverings have remained constant.
  • Flexcoat Waterproofing: Their proven track record and meticulous approach ensure the lasting integrity of our projects.
  • Sunshine Coast Stairs (formerly Direct Stairs): For nearly two decades, Nathan’s team has delivered exceptional craftsmanship in staircases, carrying on the legacy established by Mike, the original owner.
