“I built a new home with AUSMAR Homes earlier this year (2023). I purchased a wider frontage block / home site with Stockland / AURA and wanted a home design to compliment the frontage of my wider site. I chose the Como design as it not only has a double lock up garage, but a wide Porch / Foyer to compliment my 1200mm wide frond door, and an oversized Master Bedroom and ensuite at the front of the home. AUSMAR Homes Como design ticked all the boxes for my new home that was built in AURA. I did do some shopping around with other builders in the Baringa AURA Display Village but found most of the consultants that worked for other builders quite hopeless, and could not answer any of my questions, but Andrew from AUSMAR was very learned and knowledgeable as he has been in the Building Industry for 22 or so years. After comparing AUSMAR Homes standard inclusions with other builders, I was pleasantly surprised with each item. What was a standard inclusion with AUSMAR was an upgraded inclusion with every other builder, which made my journey so much more enjoyable with the peace of mind with the high-end inclusions. From Andrew taking me through their 8 Step journey, I knew exactly where I was at each and every part of the building process. My entire build process from digging soil to handover of keys was only around the 5-month mark, which was awesome, considering we were just coming out of a COVID lockdown. “Building a new home again for the first time in 20 years. Last time we owner-built a beautiful family home in Melbourne. Moving to Queensland we didn't have the contacts in the local trades, so the focus became to find a trusted local builder to manage the process. The consultant Ian Sullivan was easy going, patient and knowledgeable. During the initial consultation, he took the time to listen to and address our needs. The process was transparent and well explained, from the initial plans to the reviews and up to the contract stage. Ian also expertly liaised with not only the AUSMAR colour consultant Sandi, but with our pool builder Serenity Pools. At the end of the process, we will know that we will have a well-designed base plan with our personal “tweaks”. It’s almost owner-built personalisation, but without the headaches.
