In 2015, AUSMAR embarked on a remarkable journey, not just to construct a house but to build a community legacy. As founding partners of Wishlist, we took the helm in constructing ‘The House the Coast Built‘—a project that transcended bricks and mortar, embodying the true spirit of compassion and shared commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of Sunshine Coast families.
Heartfelt Collaboration, Lasting Impact
The synergy among Sunshine Coast businesses was palpable, and ‘The House the Coast Built‘ became a symbol of collective philanthropy. This home wasn’t just an auction item; it was a vessel carrying hope and transformation. The generous proceeds of over $300,000 from the auction would soon find their way into Wishlist, a local children’s charity, supporting vital healthcare services and programs that create smiles and uplift spirits.
Dedication to Community Welfare
At the heart of this inspiring project was AUSMAR’s dedication to community welfare. Behind the scenes, our Construction Manager, Sean Fraser, led a team of over 60 contractors who volunteered their services to bring this vision to life. Sean, with a personal connection to the project, emphasised the importance of giving back to the community, turning challenges into triumphs with unwavering commitment.
Making an Impact, One Home at a Time
Sean’s words echo AUSMAR’s mission: to create an impact that extends beyond construction. “It’s giving back to the direct community,” Sean remarked. The House the Coast Built was about raising funds for local medical charities, making a real difference where it was desperately needed. AUSMAR’s team and contractors transformed challenges into triumphs, showcasing our commitment to community welfare.
A Lasting Partnership for Change
Our partnership with Wishlist spans over 12 years, a testament to our genuine commitment to making a difference. Lisa Rowe, Wishlist CEO, acknowledges AUSMAR’s support as a lifeline for the charity’s essential work. From raising funds for ophthalmology equipment in 2011 to the transformative $300,000 in 2015 for music therapy, Clown Doctor visits, and essential services for children in need, AUSMAR’s contributions have left an indelible mark on countless lives.
A Journey of Heart and Compassion
As we celebrate AUSMAR’s 30 years of dedicated service to the Sunshine Coast community, we extend our gratitude for the unwavering commitment to creating positive change. Through our partnership with Wishlist, AUSMAR has not just constructed homes but built bridges of hope, healed hearts, and uplifted spirits. Congratulations to AUSMAR for embodying the spirit of compassion and community, and for the incredible impact we continue to make together. Here’s to building a future filled with hope and positive change.
