2023 - Housing
OVERVIEW
AUSMAR Commercial proudly assisted Reside Communities to construct the Homestead facility and accommodation at Samford Grove. Delivered on budget and two months ahead of schedule, the Samford Grove Homestead is a premium facility that promotes a healthy and active lifestyle for the community’s residents aged over 50. Its amenities include a cafe, library, 21-seat cinema, gym, indoor heated pool, beauty salon, practitioners’ consulting rooms, private dining room, bar, kitchen, workshop, communal BBQ area and landscaped gardens.
The upper level of the Homestead features accommodation for Samford Grove residents. The apartments represent the epitome of luxurious living for over 50’s in South East Queensland. Offering a contemporary take on retirement living, these homes are as beautiful as they are practical. AUSMAR’s ongoing construction work with Reside Communities, including the Samford Grove Homestead and accommodation, is a reflection of the companies’ excellent relationship which has been strengthened by AUSMAR’s continual delivery of professional, high-quality design and construction services.

ABOUT THE PROJECT
Innovation:
- Aluminium Screening Feature: A dual-purpose aluminium screen serves as both a facade design element and a balustrade for the second storey, utilising a no-weld batten system for a sleek, streamlined appearance.
- Echopanel Integration: Echopanel was employed throughout the building to enhance acoustics, add depth, and soften the interior aesthetic.
Workmanship:
- Exceptional Quality: AUSMAR Commercial's commitment to high-quality workmanship is evident in the Samford Grove Homestead and accommodation project.
- Experienced Team: The project was overseen by hands-on AUSMAR Commercial Director Richard Paris and a team of highly skilled professionals.
- Client Satisfaction: The quality of work resulted in a repeat commission from Reside Communities for another over 50's lifestyle village project.
Degree of Construction Difficulty:
- Bespoke Hardwood Trusses: Incorporating handcrafted hardwood trusses posed a unique construction challenge due to their size and complexity, requiring meticulous planning and additional labor.
- Community Integration: The project's proximity to existing residents, a church, and businesses necessitated a thorough Community Engagement Plan to minimise disruption and maintain positive relationships.
- Tight Construction Timeline: Completing the project two months ahead of schedule demanded efficient project management and coordination.
