AUSMAR’S JOURNEY WITH WISHLIST FOUNDATION

At AUSMAR, our commitment to community welfare goes beyond construction; it’s about creating a positive impact that resonates across generations. Since our inaugural partnership with Sunshine Coast Health Foundation – Wishlist in 2011, we’ve embarked on a remarkable journey, weaving together compassion, innovation, and transformative change. Here we will provide a glimpse into the series of collaborative projects that have unfolded over the years, underscoring our unwavering dedication to Wishlist’s mission.

HOW WE’VE HELPED

HOUSE THE COAST BUILT PROJECTS

From the inaugural “House The Coast Built” project in 2011 to the most recent endeavours in 2023, our partnership with Wishlist Foundation has evolved into a force for significant change. The subsequent “House The Coast Built” projects in 2015 and 2020, along with the establishment of Wishlist Centre in 2021 and Wishlist House Gympie in 2023, stand as milestones in our journey of collective impact.

VOLUNTEERING

While each project showcases AUSMAR’s commitment to philanthropy and community welfare, our journey doesn’t end with construction. We’ve fostered a culture of ongoing support, reflected in our consistent involvement in fundraising efforts and volunteering initiatives. This commitment is evident through our annual maintenance of Reed House and our ongoing engagement with Wishlist’s noble endeavours.

CHAIRMAN’S AWARD

In 2022, our dedication was further recognised when we were honoured with the prestigious Wishlist Chairman’s Award, a testament to our shared values and the positive change we’re driving together.

OUR PORTFOLIO

Our portfolio serves as a testament to our ongoing partnership’s dynamic nature – a partnership that transcends construction to create enduring positive change. Through each project, donation, and act of volunteering, AUSMAR and Wishlist Foundation have forged a bond that encapsulates our shared commitment to building a better tomorrow for the Sunshine Coast community.

A MESSAGE FROM WISHLIST

CEO, LISA ROWE

 “We pinch ourselves every day at the good fortune we’ve had in partnering with AUSMAR. Three House the Coast Built projects, the new Wishlist House Gympie built by AUSMAR, a huge fish tank cabinet at Dove Palliative Care at Caloundra Hospital, new kitchenette at Reed House … Wishlist House Birtinya, $430K worth of lasers for local eye surgery, $300k towards paediatric support, Josh Chairs our Partnership Committee and Tony Chairs our one-man Accommodation Facility Maintenance Committee! How we love AUSMAR. Thank you.”

THE COMMUNITY WE SERVE

The CEO of Wishlist, Lisa Rowe, eloquently summed up the significance of our latest legacy home endeavour;

“Families in a crisis, when a loved one falls sick, they want to be close. These houses provide the ability for families to be together during the worst time of their lives potentially, without the need to worry about how they’ll pay for it. It’s just one less stress in what is always a very stressful time if somebody you love is not well.”
