  • Desire to Learn: New systems and technologies are part of how we work - training is provided - being adaptive and willing to learn is essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Production Estimator, your role will include:

  • Preparing accurate estimations for materials and labour for AUSMAR builds in line with project timelines.
  • Managing budgeting and profit forecasts for each job from start to finish.
  • Ensuring all purchase orders are raised accurately and efficiently throughout the build process.
  • Reconciling invoices daily against purchase order values.
  • Action and document all cost overruns on jobs in consultation with the relevant Construction Supervisor ensuring issues and discrepancies in construction documentation are identified and raised.
  • Supporting administrative duties of the role connected to the construction process.
  • Contributing to a seamless client experience by supporting quality and consistency from day one.

REQUIREMENTS

While specific estimating experience is always a bonus, we’re looking for someone with:

  • Previous experience or qualification in construction, estimating or other related field will be considered.
  • Confidence using estimating software (experience in Databuild is advantageous).
  • A demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office at an intermediate level with the ability to use Excel proficiently.
  • Ability to interpret NCC, council planning requirements, estate covenants, QDC standards, and other relevant regulations.
  • Previous experience with interpretating contract and construction documentation is fundamental.
  • Demonstrated understanding of job budgeting and cost management. 
  • A white card and valid driver’s licence.

AUSMAR’S head office and showroom are based in Maroochydore, with on-site parking (if you're quick!).

OFFICE HOURS

  • Monday to Thursday | 7:30am to 4.30pm
  • Friday | 7:30am to 12:30pm
