AUSMAR Delivers Sundale Palmwoods Expansion

AUSMAR has completed Sundale's $42 million Palmwoods Garden Village expansion, delivering 69 new villas and the Hilltop Events Centre with a 25-metre pool and community spaces.

SUNDALE HISTORY

What began in 2023 with a symbolic gold coin placed in the formwork has now become a reality – the $42 million expansion of Sundale Palmwoods Garden Village has officially opened, with AUSMAR proud to have delivered the project.

At the launch two years ago, history was recreated when 92-year-old Keith McKinnon, Sundale’s original builder, placed a gold coin in the foundations – a nod to the gold sovereign placed under Sundale’s first bricks in 1963. That moment honoured the organisation’s rich history while looking to the future of seniors living on the Sunshine Coast.

PROJECT COMPLETED

Fast forward to today, and the project is complete. The expansion includes 69 new, spacious villas designed for low-maintenance living, as well as the brand-new Hilltop Events Centre – the heart of the Palmwoods community. Residents now enjoy a 25-metre heated swimming pool, beautifully landscaped surroundings, and a welcoming space for social connection and wellbeing.

GRAND OPENING

The grand opening was celebrated with local dignitaries, residents, and community members, bringing everyone together to mark the next stage of the Palmwoods community.
