Some people pass through a company. Others become part of its DNA. Josh Green is firmly the latter.
This month, we're celebrating a milestone that doesn't come around often - 20 years with AUSMAR. And for those who know Josh, it's not just a number. It's a story of what's possible when you back yourself, back your team, and back your community.

From New Home Consultant to Director
In 2006, Josh started at AUSMAR as a New Home Consultant. From there, he moved through the ranks - Sales Manager, Business Unit Manager, General Manager - before ultimately becoming a Director and shareholder in the business. It's a career path that reads like a masterclass in earned progression. Every title came with responsibility he'd already been carrying. Every promotion reflected what his colleagues already knew.
That kind of trajectory doesn't happen by accident. It happens when someone genuinely cares - about the work, about the people, and about the outcome.
Building more than homes
Ask anyone at AUSMAR what sets Josh apart, and the conversation quickly turns to culture. He’s the kind of leader who remembers names, makes time, and leads from the front - not from behind a desk.
That values-driven approach shows up in the projects Josh has championed over the years, none more meaningful than AUSMAR’s long-running partnership with Wishlist, the Sunshine Coast Health Foundation. Since 2011, AUSMAR has been the exclusive building partner of the Wishlist “House the Coast Built” series - a remarkable community initiative that has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for Sunshine Coast health services.
In 2020, AUSMAR built the Wishlist House - a custom six-bedroom home away from home in Birtinya, providing emergency hospital accommodation to families needing to stay close to loved ones receiving treatment. And when the fourth Wishlist House was built in Gympie in 2023, Josh and fellow Director Tony rolled up their sleeves and headed to site themselves - lending a hand to get the electrical work done alongside the trades team.
That’s Josh Green. Director, yes. But also someone still willing to get on site when it counts.

What 20 Years Really Looks Like
“For 20 years, Josh has brought positivity and a genuine passion for people to AUSMAR, helping shape the company culture that exists today. From his early days selling homes in Gympie to becoming an owner of AUSMAR, he has maintained a passion for home building and the housing industry that gets stronger every day.” - Tony Bryan, Director
“Having worked alongside Josh for many years and as business partners for the last six, what defines him is trust. He turns up every day, does what he says he’ll do, and puts the long-term success of the business and its people ahead of himself.” - Richard Paris, Director
Twenty years is a long time in any industry, let alone residential and commercial construction. It means Josh has seen AUSMAR grow from a Sunshine Coast builder into a company operating across three regions. He’s helped navigate the cycles, the challenges, and the wins that come with sustained growth. He’s watched team members develop, clients return, and communities take shape - many of them in homes AUSMAR built.
Most importantly, he’s helped create a place where people genuinely want to work. The culture at AUSMAR doesn’t happen by accident. It’s built - deliberately, consistently, over time. Josh has been one of its most important architects.
To Josh: thank you for 20 years of showing up, every single day, as exactly the kind of leader this team deserves.
Here’s to the next chapter.
