Alanna & Henry
Earlier this year, Henry and I set ourselves the goal of buying our first home. We’d always wanted to build new, but it was a bit of a daunting task after hearing so many horror stories of lengthy delays and budget blowouts. We started looking at established homes before quickly realising that we weren’t going to get the age or style of home we wanted within our budget. Once the government announced the HomeBuilder grant on top of the first home buyer grant we started to take a new build more seriously and began researching local builders and visiting display homes.
Henry was away for work when we started this process, so we were sharing a lot of land and floor plan options over email. I Facetimed Henry when I went through displays so he could also get a feel for the homes. The Ausmar display at Newport was the first one I walked through and we both just fell in love with it. The design was done by Darren Lockyer, so to have him officially handing over our keys was just amazing.
The entire process from start to finish was honestly so easy and enjoyable – I really can’t fault anything. Our sales consultant Trevor was so knowledgeable and helpful with finding land and the right house design. Our colour consultant was equally as wonderful and gave us a few tips that we decided to trust and are so glad we did! And our supervisor Liam was just amazing – he allowed us to organise our fencing and different lights while they were on site which was so unexpected but hugely appreciated. I can’t believe how quickly and seamlessly he completed the build – it was well within the promised eight week timeframe!
I couldn’t recommend Ausmar highly enough. They have been an absolute dream to build with and I would happily recommend them to any of our family and friends.
