8 Steps To Constructing Your AUSMAR Home

Building a new home can be an extremely stressful and overwhelming process. There are so many different aspects to consider, and so many stages to manage that your new build can become the cause of immense anxiety and frustration. But it doesn’t have to be this way!

We will assign you a dedicated new home consultant and client liaison officer to take care of every detail of your new build. Our expert team will manage the administration, coordination and construction of your home, and support you through every step of the building process including:
Step 1: Provisional sales estimate
The first stage of the building process is to find the right home for your lifestyle. Your new home consultant will discuss your ideal home, budget, and the specifications of your land and take you through the most suitable design options to meet your needs. Once you have decided on your desired build type and floor plan, you will then be provided with a provisional sales estimate based on your choices.
Step 2: New home proposal
It’s time to plan your new home! Your new home consultant will arrange an estimator to visit the site of your build, and prepare your new home proposal based on the findings. Any alterations to your design and changes to your floor, electrical and site plans can be made at this stage.
Step 3: Contract
The next step is for you to review and accept the details of your new home contract. Your client liaison officer will take you through the specifications, working drawings, engineering slab design and soil report, and your final contract price.
Step 4: Colour selection
This is the fun part – choosing the colour scheme of your new home. A qualified colour consultant will guide you through your options in selecting your desired theme. Simultaneously, your client liaison officer will submit all the necessary documentation to obtain building approval.
Step 5: Building approval
Now it’s time to prepare for the build. Your client liaison officer will coordinate and schedule the construction of your new home along with arranging a meeting with the site supervisor who will be overseeing the work.
Step 6: Construction
You will be required to inspect and approve four major stages of your build with the site supervisor. This will be arranged by your client liaison officer and will include your approval of: commencement activities; roof completion; tiling pre-start; and the final practical completion inspection.
Step 7: Handover
The day has finally arrived – it’s time to assume ownership of your new home! Your client liaison officer will provide you with the final sign off paperwork and hand over the keys to your dream house.
Step 8: Maintenance
After 12 months you will be contacted by a maintenance specialist for your non-structural defects inspection. And to ensure you are still 100% satisfied and excited with your new home.
