Friday Flatlay: 4 Laminates, 4 Styles - Quick Looks with Big Impact

Written by admin | July 17, 2025

Four quick flatlays using our favourite laminates – each with its own unique style.

Welcome to this week’s Friday Flatlay, where we’re keeping things quick, curated, and full of inspiration. Today, we’re styling four distinct looks based on four of our favourite laminates. Whether you're dreaming of an all-white home or something bold and textural, there's a style in here for you.

1. Refined Walnut – Rich, Warm, and Unexpected

We kicked things off with Refined Walnut – a timeless choice that brings warmth and texture to any space. To elevate this classic laminate, we paired it with the Woollahra tile, which offers a beautiful, earthy base.

And then – surprise – we added a splash of Kalamata. This deep, plum-toned accent adds a dramatic pop, perfect for a feature moment like a niche or vanity. It’s used sparingly, but it completely lifts the mood of the palette.

What you’ll see in the flat lay:

  • Warm timber-look laminate with subtle grain
  • Neutral, stone-look tile for grounding the look
  • Accent swatch in a deep burgundy/plum tone (Kalamata)

Vibe: Rich, grounded, and a little daring.

2. Chalk White – Clean, Bright & Luxe

Next up: Chalk White. This is the foundation of your dream all-white home. We’re talking white cabinetry, white benchtops, white sheer curtains, and white handles to keep the aesthetic soft and seamless.

To avoid it feeling flat, we stick with Chrome tapware. Chrome reflects everything around it, adding depth and light without breaking the monochrome vibe. It’s polished, timeless, and a safe bet for anyone chasing that airy, minimalist look.

What you’ll see in the flat lay:

  • Pure white laminate swatch (Chalk White)
  • Sheer curtain fabric sample for softness
  • White cabinetry and handle references
  • Chrome tapware for a crisp, polished contrast

Vibe: Clean, serene, and ultra-modern.

3. Porcelain Blush – Soft, Subtle & Playful

For something more romantic, Porcelain Blush gives you that hint-of-pink tone that still feels neutral. Think of it as a creamy white with a blush undertone – subtle but effective.

We paired this one with Moroccan clay-style tiles, staying within a muted earthy palette. These tiles add texture and authenticity while still complementing the soft elegance of Porcelain Blush. Once again, Chrome was our tapware choice – elevating the finish without overpowering it.

What you’ll see in the flat lay:

  • Blush-tinted white laminate
  • Soft, handmade-look clay tiles
  • Chrome tapware to keep the look elevated
  • Warm neutral tones to tie everything together

Vibe: Soft, feminine, and textured with a twist.

4. French Navy – Classic Hamptons Reimagined

Finally, we styled French Navy – a bold, deep blue that instantly reads Hamptons. We leaned into this look with classic Hamptons-style tiles, laid in a brick pattern for texture and familiarity.

The navy acts as an anchor, while the white tiles bring in lightness and contrast. It’s a timeless combo that works beautifully for kitchens, laundries, or mudrooms.

What you’ll see in the flat lay:

  • Deep navy laminate swatch
  • White brick-style tile arranged in a traditional pattern
  • Cool-toned accents to complement the bold colour
  • A clean, coastal feel with timeless appeal

Vibe: Coastal classic, crisp and confident.

Which Look Are You Leaning Toward?

Whether you’re drawn to warm tones, coastal charm, or a fresh white-on-white palette, these quick flat lays show just how much character a good laminate and tile combo can bring to your home.
